On Saturday, June 8, 2024, we invited all bookworms, book lovers, print enthusiasts, and simply anyone who was curious to visit our company. For the first time in more than 10 years, interested parties from all over the region had the opportunity to take an exclusive look behind the scenes at GGP and PSC. During a tour, we showed what we are made of and how manuscripts are turned into finished books.

Saturday, 9:30 a.m., the staff of GGP and PSC is excitedly making the final preparations: When will the first guests arrive? How well will the event be received? Will enough people from the region be interested in our company?

And then the time comes: the first visitors arrive at the main entrance around 10 a.m., eager to take a tour of GGP and PSC. Right at the entrance, guests are greeted by a large screen with the words "Welcome".

The guests then embarked on an exciting tour of GGP, starting in the foyer with the company's history, then on to the platemaking and printing areas. Here the visitors learned about the different printing processes - sheetfed, web offset and digital - and how they work. The tour then continued to the paper roll and high-bay warehouse. The tour continued to the finishing area for block formation and hardcover production. Finally, there was a short tour of the PSC to see color cutting and softcover production.

At the end of the tour, the guests were escorted to the courtyard where they could rest and refresh themselves after the tour. Whether it was bratwurst on a bun, coffee and cake, or a scoop of ice cream, there was something for everyone. The children could also let off steam, conquer the bouncy castle, play and romb.

Those who preferred to stay indoors in the sunny temperatures should not miss a visit to our hall. Dedicated employees and motivated trainees informed young and old about our open positions and job profiles. There were many highlights at the training and job stand, where you could even take something home with you. There was also a nice photo corner for great souvenir photos.

A special highlight was the reading with Martin Becker in our book canteen. The author read from his novel "The Workers" and answered questions about his career and everyday life as a writer.

Around 4 p.m., the exciting day that we had been planning for months came to an end. After a little clean up, the staff could finally take a deep breath and enjoy the nearly 3000 guests who had explored the grounds throughout the day.

The day ended in a relaxed atmosphere with good food and drinks and a nice get-together with the team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our colleagues for making this day so special. It would not have been possible without your support.
